Do you know what you want to be?

Life is mysterious to many, unknown to even more and little known to only a few. Just halt a second and check out in which category you fall in. If you think you know what you wanna be then consider yourself a lucky one.

Right from the beginning of life we are taught by our parents and teachers. And later when we grow, we tend to have the habit of getting spoon fed. However there always is a time in life when we get awaken and start perceiving life in our own way and begin to have our own stand and beliefs. But still the competition surrounding us doesn’t let us escape the rat race which limits our creativity. So here we are either to follow the rat race and compete or to have courage to be different.

“Follow all the rules and become ordinary”

If you choose to compete this rat race and compete hard, still you need to keep in mind that winner of a rat race is also a rat. You won’t have your own opinions because you are governed by the environment and this competition influences you to make you what you become. So you won’t be able to become what you want but you would be what this competitive pressure wants.

“Never ever a leader is created by environment. It’s the leader which creates environment”

The second path where you follow your dreams, do what you love and make your life your own way seems to be superb but it requires courage to deny the rules which are against your interests and following your passion irrespective of any criticism.

“Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be” (George Sheehan)

However, not everyone lives a passionate life. Forget about living, in fact only few people have passions in life. Most people often follow the straight path and get trapped in the race which they start hating after few years and their life becomes stagnant. Having a passionate direction and inspiration to follow your ambition is something that is required which can make you love your work as well as your life.

“I don’t want to be the product of my environment. I want my environment to be a product of me”

Here follows two important questions. First, do you think you know what your passion is? If yes then follows the second, do you have enough courage to break the surrounding barrier and chase your own dreams?

“At the centre of your being, you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.”
(Lao Tzu)

To be aware of your passion, just find out the things that inspire you or the things that you are doing right from your childhood or the things that you love and always wanted to do. Take time to practice your interests. Everyone have something or the other, the only thing is to find it.

Dreams are extremely important. You can’t do it unless you imagine it.
(George Lucas)

Now if you think you are at this stage where you can identify your aim but still have doubts on your capability to accomplish it. There are two ways, first take a chance, come out of comfort zone and follow your interests. Other is to practice your passion as a hobby and slowly move to a level where you can choose it as your profession.  Once you reach or choose that carrier where you love your work then you don’t need to work anymore.

“I never did a day’s work in my life. It was all fun.” (Thomas Edison)

It seems easy but it may turn out to be horrible. It depends, not everyone on earth is born to follow dreams. On the other hand, not a single thing is impossible. I don’t want to be judgemental, in fact, who am I to be, it totally depends on you. The purpose of this article is to enlighten you. The decision is yet to be taken by you and not anyone else. No one can choose for you and make you one. Only you can choose what you want to be.

“Understand that the right to choose your own path is a sacred privilege. Use it. Dwell in possibility.
(Oprah Winfrey).

    Hey,

firstly I wanted to criticize your post as you have to many quotes out there. Well, after reading about rat race I changed my mind a little bit. That was great. You gave me a good point. I was thinking about the rat race but I did not know how to call it. Now as it is identified and explained is it much easier to think.

However, my advice is do not use to many quotes. It is because to many names make post complicated. People who are reading it, feel frustrated cause they think there are too many facts to remember.

    Overall, this was nice reading.

  2. Thanx for your honest critical opinion. I will work on it. Actually quotations inspire me that’s why I put it in there. But I didn’t thought the way you have told. I started writing recently so i don’t have great writing skills. I am working on it. Hopefully to improve soon. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback.

  3. fantastic collection of quotes!

  4. Now that’s what its called a paradox…….aleksledocteur criticized me for quotes and you admired it on the other hand…..That why it’s so true to admit that everyone’s view differ….It depends how you perceive…
